Fear of travelling on Trains and the Tube - Hi Anne,

Just to say what a success going to London on the train was, I planned the trip up to London and on the tube, I directed us around the tube and didn’t feel ill or anxious once! And then we went to a different tube stop to normal and I left my colleague there and went on the tube with a line change on my own!!!!!!!!!!! Hallelujah – I did it!!!!! Thank you so much, I really can’t thank you enough – you have changed my life – because the fear was crippling before and to be free of that fear is very liberating!!!!!!

From the mother of a 9 year old boy who developed a real fear of heavy rain after being rescued from his flooded school by boat in the “summer” of 2007 - Dear Anne

A big THANK YOU for helping my son with his fear of flooding and heavy rain.

Since we saw you 3 weeks ago my son has experienced some heavy rain resulting in very high river levels and flooded fields.

It is wonderful, his response is back to a “normal” one – he is not at all concerned about flooding and just says “we are insured aren’t we?”!

I can’t thank you enough; this response is a far cry from the petrified 9 year old of about a month ago.

Thank you again and keep up the fantastic work you do.

Kind regards

Julia

A few days later: Please feel free to use this as a reference at any time. You worked wonders with ….. and I would always be happy to speak to anyone considering it for their child, that is perhaps a little apprehensive.

From “Darren” who saw Anne for a fear of flying and sent this on return from his trip: - Generally, it went very well. I was much more relaxed in the build up to the actual take off. My wife said it was the most relaxed I have ever been for a flight, which is definitely an encouraging sign. I will admit there were still some butterflies in my stomach during the take-off, but even that was nothing compared to how I have felt in previous flights.

My general feelings are that I still do not think flying is my preferred method of travel. However, the concept does not fill me with the trepidation that it previously did. The techniques you showed me were of considerable help and definitely aided me.

Therefore, through your help, I feel that I can now face future flights with a level of confidence not previously possible. Many thanks for your help in making an unbearable situation bearable.

Michele (Fear of Heights) - Hi Anne, Thought I would give you a little update after our trip to San Diego. Airport escalators, shops and car park. ALL GOOD. only problem was the hotel conference was in. Managed up, a little wobble 3/4 of way up, as when you look around realize all glass, the down one also went along side glass side of hotel, did not even go there, my daughter was with me on that one. We did go onto shops lift after and all ok. We even visited an old war ship moored in San Diego, I was up and down ladders, no problem even visited sky deck, which I would normally balled out off. Also our hotel room was on the 29th floor, would normally have problem with that, but was fine. My husband said last night “it was like being with different person vast improvement “. He also agreed the escalator in hotel was a little scary. We are off to London this weekend and going on the underground. Thank you for all your help.

Debbie Archer (Claustrophobia) - Anne, Just a quick message to say that I have now completed my first full week of travelling to and from Manchester on rush hour trams and with no problems whatsoever, thanks to your help. Thanks again for helping me to believe that I could overcome my claustrophobia. Whilst I won't be attempting potholing in the near future, at least I can now use public transport without having a panic attack!

Jackie Porter (Weight Loss) - Hi Anne First of all many thanks for you help in April/May. you will be pleased to now that I have lost a stone am walking 4 miles every morning before work, and I haven't had a mouthful of alcohol since my first visit to you, although I am not too sure about that one! I don't feel I need it so I am not bothering to try. Saving a fortune!

Anon (Motivation) - I wanted to thank you so much for helping me out of my rut. I decided to wait and see if this miracle was really so … and find that I have truly changed my behaviour and my thinking with an incredible and positive benefit to my business, and me!

Thank you, it’s been a pleasure and I already miss our chats!

Anon (Depression) - Thank you so much for everything. You have helped me so much in so many ways, you must be an angel!!

Anon (Weight) - Thank you for all you have done for me over the last few weeks. It’s been a real journey but I really feel now I will get there.

Anon (Fear of flying) - Just a note to say thank you so much. I had a wonderful time in Cyprus thanks to a stress free journey and plenty of shopping at the airport!

Anon (Grief) - A small thank you to someone with a big heart. I now feel I have a future to look forward to

Terry Davis - April 06

I would like to convey my sincere thanks for helping me to undertake my kidney transplant in October 05. as you know I was unable to go ahead with the two previous dates, due to chest infections on both occasions. I believe that my stress and anxiety leading up to the operation led to me being ill. When I booked with you I was open minded and prepared to give anything a go, to try to make me less anxious and more positive leading up to the operation.

During the first session with you I felt completely at ease and very positive on my return home. The CD’s you supplied were very relaxing and enabled me to keep positive. Being able to listen to them anytime was a great help and certainly made any negative thoughts disappear.

I felt that due to your help I was completely mentally prepared for the operation, which did thankfully take place in October as planned. I truly believe that without your help it would have been a much greater task to endure. I felt relaxed and relieved that I could enter the hospital in a calm and positive manner.

I cannot thank you enough for all your help, and since the operation, to continue to keep in touch as you have to check on my recovery is so kind. Your warm and gentle manner is completely unique and I will recommend you to anyone that I believe will benefit from your expertise.

My recovery has been consistent and thanks to you I am now well on the way to better health.

With sincere thanks

Terry Davis

Ruth Hardman (accountant – exams!) - Thank you for the hypnotherapy sessions, whilst I was a little apprehensive about the whole experience within minutes of stepping into your room I was at ease and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

After just 1 session my mood had lightened and my attitude and outlook on things had greatly improved.

I have no doubt that the treatment has helped me tremendously and with colleagues noticing a change in me it has to be working.

Thank you for your time and I would not hesitate to recommend you to others as I feel many people could benefit from such treatment.

Anne later heard that Ruth had passed her accountancy exams

Tony McDonald from Thatcham - Hello Anne

Not sure if you remember, but I came to see you in late May and early June 06, with my vertigo problem, which I was hoping could be dealt with before our holiday in Madeira.

Well I am pleased to report that we returned from Madeira last night and whilst there I was able to do a lavada walk (sheer drop of 500 feet just inches to my left hand side), ride a cable car over really deep gorges and stand on top of the second highest cliff face in Europe, look over the side and feel quite comfortable.

So, many many thanks, you seem to have solved the problem for me.

Regards

Tony McDonald

Alison Moore from Newbury - I've started writing a letter to you on numerous occasions over the last couple of weeks but have either got distracted or been too tired to make much sense! I can't wait to get home for a decent night's sleep!

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for helping me with your course of hypnotherapy in May 06 (I think) Since seeing you, I have become so much more of a confident and assertive person. In fact, I've got myself quite a reputation during my stays in hospital for my persistence in getting what I want and I can't even begin to express how much I appreciate you having helped me with that.

I'm sure it is down to the help you gave me that I have been able to persist with this and get the facilities I require.

I still listen to the CD you gave me regularly and it helps me to relax (and boy do I need it in hospital?!!)

I've decided that I'd love to do something similar to your job so I can help people improve their lives and achieve their goals so I've booked on to a psychology course at the Open University. I started a new job in September working as a Teaching Assistant at ……School. I work in the Learning Support Department and work with lots of Autistic kids, which I love.

I also have a fantastic boyfriend called …., who I've been with since October. We met in August and he is amazing and just what I need. Oh...and I have an all improved, straighter, non-twisted spine.

All in all, life is definitely on the up!

I'll sign off now as I've wittered enough and I'm so tired, I'm not sure how much sense I'm making!!!

Again, thank you so much for making me a better person!

You're lovely and you do a fantastic job! You really have inspired me to achieve what I want in life.

Take care

Anonymous - I am still going strong from the therapy you gave me last year, to date I have lost 55lb and gone from a size 22/24 to a size 18, I feel fantastic I do aerobics, aqua aerobics, power walk and salsa every week, I have a great new p/t job. When I reach my goal I will definitely email a photo to you

Anon - Thank you so much for your time, patience & skill. After 4 'sessions' I now feel so much more positive about my life in general and my weight/size is no longer the central focus in my mind.

I now can only eat when I genuinely feel hungry & have learnt to recognise the 'full up' feeling and stop eating accordingly. However all this pales in to insignificance compared to the lack of guilt I now feel when eating what I once classed as 'bad or sinful' foods.

If I want to eat something, and I am genuinely hungry, I eat it ... it is a simple as that!!!

Thank you once again - all I can say to anyone reading this on Anne's website is - give it a go - it works!

Toni - I came to Anne out of desperation after months of trying every diet, and not being able to stick to them. My shape was foreign to me and I felt I had no confidence left - not even enough to try yet another diet. Ann has helped me to stop 'binge-eating', and only eat when I am hungry. I now say no to chocolate cake without feeling like I am losing out on something! My confidence is going back up, and the excess weight is coming off. I now feel stronger and healthier and am excited about getting my true shape back.

Steve Thompson - Horizon Electrical Services - I have been so impressed with your hypnotherapy sessions, that I thought I must write to thank you for your recent help.

Not only is it easier to deal with any stressing issues which may arise, it also helps me to focus on my own health and well being. I am now less stressed, which makes me focus on my business better. Not only that but I have lost nearly a stone in weight. I don't know which result I am more pleased about.

I will recommend your fantastic services as often as I can to all my friends, family and customers, with the assurance that they will receive a second to none service from your company, Mindset Hypnotherapy.

I wish you all the best for the future.

Micheal McMullin - When I first came to BNI as a guest member a few weeks ago I had several problems.

  1. Being a person who at times was required to speak openly and publicly about my product(s), I discovered that I was having a terrible time with my nerves – and I felt that I was coming across to my audience in a very insincere manner. I know that this has had a major impact on my ability to deliver the messages that I have needed to get over to those who were there to listen to what I had to say.
  2. Being a very keen golfer, I had been unable to maintain any degree of consistency in my game. Result – utter frustration especially when in the past at different times I have pared every hole on the course. Conclusion – in theory I am capable of playing to scratch (even Par). But despite this I had never even been able to play to anything remotely close to my handicap.

I subsequently met Anne Thomson of Mindset Hypnotherapy. Anne and I have had a couple of sessions now and during the course of the program that we have embarked upon, the following results have ensued.

  1. When I stand up to speak now – I am nowhere near as nervous as I have been in the past, I feel far more in control of the message that I need to get across to my audience.
  2. My ability to organise my life on a day to day basis has improved no end. I am now able to focus not only on my business but also on my private life in a way that I have never been able to do before.
  3. My memory retention has improved no end.
  4. I went out and played golf – to those who understand the game I scored 45 stableford points, this equates to having played the 18 holes at a level of what I am reliably informed to be 9 strokes under my handicap. Never before achieved. STUNNING!

We all have problems – not necessarily the same as mine – but for any person who wishes to improve on their sport, their business acumen and or their personal life in any way – I would very sincerely encourage you to make an appointment with Anne and just have a chat with her. That is Anne Thomson, Mindset Hypnotherapy. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain!
